sound|byte
I went to see sound|byte at Cedar Court Hotel last night, the only youth saxophone big band in England, conducted by the amazing player himself, Ian Peak. Harrogate based 16 saxes, keyboard, guitar, percussion and drum kit sounded awesome, it was a very very nice time spent in their company. My favorite pieces were: Nice and Cool, Keep it cool composed and arranged by Johny Jones and Ian's own composition: the Frog. Can't wait till the next time...

More London...
Spent 6 days in Londontown, saw very nice and inspiring shows by Ventriloquist (his myspace page here)and Mark Geary (his myspace page here), walked a lot, filmed some, went to Chelsea Arts Club, got captured in photography by Brian Usher as previously reported, wrote new poems, read old poems at Toynbee studios, eaten nice food, talked for hours and hours with friends who I really had to catch up with...Here are some photos I took while there..

Portraits by The Amazing Brian Usher
Brian Usher is a London based photographer who has been a dear friend of mine for many years. He writes for Royal Photographic Society Journal and F2 magazine as well as takes pictures of many wonderful people and places. His Cuban Malecon series are a true jewel. He photographed me over the years and it's always a memorable day when this happens. Enjoy!!

Artwork residency at Working lunch cafe...
It will be work in progress, I plan to do several new pieces and in the future months I shall update the display, there should be some live painting in December at the cafe itself...Olivier makes great food, sells lots of nice sweets and the drinks are not bad either :) Working lunch cafe is located in the very centre of Harrogate, on Royal Parade (the roundabout where the Crown Hotel is)
