Brighton-Artist Residence, day one...
In Brighton, in a hotel called Artist Residence, who kindly gave me a room to basically do what I feel with...well...to decorate with my artwork to be specific.
Arrived in the afternoon with the speed of light...the room was not ready as the train journey was unexpectedly quick (well, the world is full of surprises when you do not pay attention to the info provided by train companies...:)..)
So I was sent off to explore the town what lead to about 50 snaps in my camera, some sunset on the beach footage in the can and a hot dog and a latte overlooking the seagulls and the pebbles...
The only time I was in Brighton before was for a party, age 18. Not much recollection there, only that Vanessa and I hitch-hiked from Bournemouth to Brighton and back for a weekend...:)very blurry memories...
I spent couple of hours walking, now I am sketching and tomorrow the painting begins...

Lovely words about my work from EAN blog
"As a backdrop to all of this the EAN were showing artwork from Maria Slovakova, whose little painted creatures were so cute that we couldn't help but fall in love with them. Maria was unable to join us for this event, but she will definitely be back to entertain her with her poetry and we hope that she will send us some of her cutie paintings. By the way Maria, you really should think about making them into badges, we would all wear them."

dEUS at KOKO
I've been religiously preoccupied by following the work of Tom Barman since the times dEUS released Worst Case Scenario back in the '90's. I was very much empowered by the fact that one can make so much sense in English even though it is not their first language. We had a small 'Antwerp scene appreciation club' with couple of friends back in Amsterdam and fortunately for us these very fine musicians kept on coming to do small shows round town...Last nights KOKO gig was amazing for me, it's been years since that show in Melkweg I saw them last...And hearing Nothing Really Ends as well as Serpentine live, my 2 most favourite songs of dEUS so far...truly made my day yesterday. I would pay extra for hearing Everything is the same (except no one believes me) for its very masterful vocals, but that is probably a very long shot ;)

Me on The Fashion Show on ITV2
Well.
Lovely Carol from Princess Productions rang up yesterday if I would like to help them with their tv show. I had no idea what I am agreeing to, but as I am up for pretty much anything, it was as usual well worth it. My carefully chosen combination of the impossible worked. The fashion critic told me off big time (for what I had on), and I feel totally achieved. Evil Ape by MCA was on my chest, my newly purchased and improved Rocketdog boots on my feet, the rest was just bunch of other fine charity shop finds, I turned a few heads on the tube on the way there and back, so overall feeling is wonderful. Thanks a lot Carol for this memorable experience!! :)no idea when the footage will air, but The Fashion show is on Thursdays 8pm on ITV2 in UK if you want to see it...I do not own a tv, so I will be excluded from the rest of it, but you, do enjoy!!

Memorable Moments on BBC Radio 6 Music!!!

So we made it on the BBC Radio show!!! On Sunday 21st just after midnite. Memorable Moments that got played is a little story that sorta speaks of closeness and the distance of childlike observance...
I praise 10D-PJ here as all the tracks they worked on are ever so nice.
We have 5 so far.
We also got included in the podcast, it's up for the whole week so come and listen...
